INSECTA 2024
Throwback to INSECTA 2024 from last week!
INSECTA 2024 took place on May 14-16th in Potsdam, Germany.
Over the course of two productive days, the conference participants learned about the first CIPROMED Project results on optimal side-stream-based compound diets for BSF larvae from the project coordinator, Christos Athanassiou and Christos Rumbos of the University of Thessaly, together with Kashif ur Rehman and János-István Petrusán from DIL Deutsches Institut für Lebensmitteltechnik e. V.
The participants also had the opportunity to engage in a really interesting and innovative interactive workshop organized by the CIPROMED Project and Advagromed project. During this workshop, the participants had the opportunity, among other things, to taste high-protein, insect-based breads baked on-site by the valuable CIPROMED partner Stolzenberger Bakery. Lastly, the participants completed an interactive questionnaire addressing key challenges in the insect market.
