On April 19-22, 2026, in Des Moines, Iowa, USA, the CIPROMED project results were presented by Prof. Athanassiou C.G., Baliota G.V. and Rumbos C.I at the 2026 North Central Branch [NCB] Meeting “Connect, Inspire, Discover”.

Prof. Athanassiou presented, “Frass and Furious: Valorizing frass from the yellow mealworm”, a presentation which highlighted the multiple applications of insect frass from Tenebrio molitor and its growing importance in sustainable agriculture and circular bioeconomy.

The title of the poster that was presented at the event was “Don’t cry over spilled milk: Repurposing dairy waste through the yellow mealworm” by Athanassiou C.G., Baliota G.V. and Rumbos C.I.
