Save the Date: CIPROMED to Participate in the Residues to Resources Conference

CIPROMED is pleased to announce its participation in the Residues to Resources Conference, taking place on 27–28 October 2026 at Sant Pau, Barcelona, Spain. The two-day event will bring together researchers, industry representatives, policymakers, and stakeholders to explore innovative approaches for transforming agricultural residues into sustainable, high-value products.

As part of the conference programme, Christos Rumbos (University of Thessaly) will deliver a keynote presentation titled “Closing the Loop with Insects: Advances and Challenges in Insect Bioconversion” during the opening keynote session on 28 October.

CIPROMED will also contribute to Workshop 2: Next Generation Proteins for a Growing World, where Christos Rumbos and Laura Cavallarin (CNR) will participate as external challenge speakers. Annalisa Tassoni (University of Bologna) will be the moderator of the workshop

The workshop will examine emerging sustainable protein sources, advances in protein extraction and valorisation, and the challenges associated with scaling innovative protein solutions for future food and feed systems.

The conference offers an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge, foster collaboration, and discuss the latest developments in circular bioeconomy, sustainable agriculture, and innovative biomass valorisation.
